“Pets are bundles of love wrapped in fur.”

Let me just start this by saying I LOVE animals!!! I was so excited when I realized they were bringing their adorable puppy. I’ve said it before that I struggle with social anxiety sometimes, mostly when meeting new people. But the second their puppy jumped out of the car I was ooohing and ahhhing over that little guy.

I seriously love when clients bring their furbabies to sessions. I know pets ARE family members. I rescued a baby kitten (so little I had to bottle feed her) when I was 16 and let me just say this: she saved my life just as much as I saved hers. She kept me sane through my high school years when I went through heart breaks and lost friends; she kept me sane when I had my heart broken from my first serious relationship. She felt like a child to me and I would worry non stop about her. She was 13 years old when she passed away from cancer and my heart still misses her; 3 years later. It’s actually coming up to the 3 year mark in a couple of days which is probably why she’s so heavy on my heart and mind right now. Which brings me back to this portrait session and how much I understand the importance of including our furry family members.

On another note this has to be one of my FAVORITE locations for family sessions…or any session really. I absolutely love the colors, from the water, to the grass, to the buildings in the background. Even though I am based in Plant City I do not mind traveling into Tampa, Riverview, Apollo Beach…or anywhere really that is the perfect location for a client. 🙂
