On my wedding day my grandfather pulled me to the side and told me that he wanted to get a nice haircut for my wedding but he ended up getting a bad haircut that he hated. So he asked if he could wear his hat.
My response? OF COURSE. Of course he could wear his hat…I didn’t mind at all. 1. He hated his haircut and my grandfather had really awesome hair his entire life. 2. He ALWAYS wore a hat…it was just him.
So when my cousin and his girlfriend had their baby shower and we had an impromptu maternity session…I never asked him to take his hat off.

I obviously wouldn’t recommend wearing a baseball hat to most sessions…but I’m also not going to make someone take it off and feel uncomfortable. Because even if you’re in the newest, trendiest outfit possible…if you feel uncomfortable in it, it will show in your images and you won’t like the final result.
So dress your best for your session…but in a way that is true and authentic to who you are and your style.
