Location Guide

The best location is the one that makes you feel your best!

Choosing the right location for your senior portraits is not necessarily a make-it-or-break-it decision, but one that will have an impact on the overall success of how your images are conveyed. One of the most important reasons for choosing the perfect location is to match the general vibe, theme, or concept you are aiming to achieve.

If you’re a little nervous about spending so much time in front of the camera, choose an environment that makes you feel at home — and don’t be afraid to get creative! Pick a photoshoot location that’s significant to you. But if nothing comes to mind, here are some beautiful locations to help inspire you!

Bok Tower

Bok Tower is one of my absolutely favorite locations! There is no where else around here that compares to their lush gardens and gorgeous greenery. Plus the Mediterranean-style mansion, all the “secret garden” vibes, and beautiful water fountains are so unique! I love that this location offers so much variety for sessions.

It is a far drive; about an hour from Plant City and the entrance fee is $16 per person. Last admission is at 5:00 pm so I always suggest sessions starting no later than 4:30 p.m. This way we will have plenty of time before they close at 6:00 p.m.

Edward Medard Park

Hands down this is my favorite local park! The exposed tree roots and Spanish moss makes for such a beautiful backdrop for every session. It is also the only park I know of that has the tall golden grass all year long. I’m honestly not sure what it is but it gives a “wheat field” look. I love that from one end of the park to the other is completely different and offers so much variety in one location. This location does have an entry fee of $2 per vehicle.

E&E Family Farm

If country/farmhouse style is your thing this is the PERFECT location. It is owned by the sweetest family. They have multiple vintage trucks and cars to use and an adorable vintage Coca Cola area. The cows in the background are also a plus!

This is a perfect second location to a senior session!

Apollo Beach

This is my favorite local beach for sessions! If there is one thing I look for in a location it is versatility. This beach offers just that. There is an area with greenery on one side and then rocks and water on the other. The rocks offer such a unique vibe for a beach session! I will be 100% honest though; the water is not the clearest or prettiest. The water is dark which adds drama but if you’re looking for crystal blue water I have a different beach location for that!
