Everyone deserves to have the most memorable senior year and scheduling a professional photoshoot is one way to add to the importance of this milestone.
To help you have the best experience, here are 5 things you need as you plan your session.
- A Date
Senior year is going to be one of your busiest yet, so before your entire year fills up, take a look at your calendar and pick a day for your senior photoshoot. What’s more, the sooner you book your shoot, the better – it ensures you get the photographer you really want.
- The Right Outfit
The night before your senior shoot is not the right time to start going through your closet to decide what to wear. You want to love your photos for years to come, so give your outfit the time and attention it deserves. This is also why I make sure to send out my Senior Welcome Packet that includes my What to Wear Guide so you can start planning (and getting excited) ahead of time. Remember to stay true to your style to make your photos authentic.
- A Salon Appointment
This applies to both guys and girls. Use your senior shoot as an excuse for some pampering. Most important is to make sure your hair and nails look neat. This is not the time to try a new haircut or color either – keep things simple for now.
- Items That Make You, You
What are you passionate about? What are your talents? How do you love to spend your time? Answering these questions will easily give you a theme for your shoot and provide you with some prop ideas – if you want to use some that is. It can also guide your location choices.
- The People You Love
While you don’t need to bring anyone along to your senior shoot, you do have the option. Whether it’s just for emotional support and a laugh or you want to include someone in a few of your photos, now is the time to ask them to set your shoot date aside.
There you have it. Simpler than you thought right???
